Minimalism can be overwhelming sometimes. Minimizing all your possessions can be exhausting, both physically and emotionally. Imagine what would happen then when our family of eight pack up all that we have left. While everyone else is preparing for the upcoming school year, we move out of our big house. Would you believe then we hit the road in our RV to see the world.
What Did Minimalism Do To Us
We did it!!
We have started a series called The Little Minimalists’ Big Adventure. Why have we started this? Well, we wanted you to get a glimpse of life once we let go of all the stuff that was holding us back. Our hope is that by letting go of the cleaning, tidying, and maintaining, that we will have time for playing, exploring, and learning.
A minimalist lifestyle takes intentionality. So does investing in your education, and your family. Because of this, we are making that intentional switch.
So check out this first video in the series. The Little Minimalists take a weekend away at camp to regroup as a family unit. Then we begin the overwhelming task of packing up our 3 000 square foot house in only a few days!! Yikes!! Only a few days?!?!?
“That’s insane” you say.
Well I say “Yes. Yes it is.”
Why Did We Do It
Watch as we come together as a family and work as a team to achieve our common goal.
It’s pretty cool actually, how we all work together. It would be great if you checked out some of the other videos we’ve made. You’ll see how including everyone in our minimalising journey has brought us to this point. Everyone in our family is becoming minimalist. So when the decision was made to pack up, everyone was on board with doing what needed to be done.
Was It Worth It
Most of all, we were all hopeful that our hard work would pay off, and as a result, the rewards would be worth it.
Won’t you follow along with us and find out if minimalism is worth it or not?
You might even be able to see how this would work in your family. Possibly you’ll be able to make plans for your minimalist journey. Maybe this will help you to see if minimalizing your possessions will help make time for what you would rather be doing.
The Little Minimalist’s Big Adventure is just that: It’s big. But it took effort. And intentionality. But I guarantee you, it will be worth it.
